Global Run 2025
It’s that time of year again – we’re getting ready for the Global Run 2025! While our team and the Make Me Smile Kenya team are all set to participate, we hope you will join us too!
Not in Vienna or Kenya? No problem! The Global Run takes place around the world, and you can join from anywhere – even from your treadmill!
Not a runner? No worries! We want you to enjoy the Global Run, so you can take part with your favorite sport or activity.
Once again, all donations will go towards our climate mitigation projects. This event is a powerful opportunity to raise awareness and promote better practices for a healthier planet and a livable future.
So let’s move together – and support climate resilience and mitigation across the globe!
How to participate:

- Register: Sign up online to join the run.
- Run Anywhere: Participate from any location, at any time during the event.
- Share: Share your run with us via Social Media #mmsglobalrun
- Donate: Contribute what you feel like to support our climate change mitigation fund.
What Your Donation Can Do (Examples):
- €10: Plant and nurture 3 trees
→ So far, we’ve planted and cared for nearly 16,000 trees in Kenya and 120,000 trees in Colombia! - €20: Provide comprehensive training in permaculture and kitchen gardening for one household
→ This promotes biodiversity through diverse seeds and plants, and increases food security for vulnerable communities. - €70: Supply a 100W solar panel to a household
→ Installed by students from our Mwanga Mpya project, which empowers marginalized youth with skills in renewable energy and a household with solar light for a brighter future. - €280: Build a new home for a family affected by flooding→ Each year, flooding increases due to climate change. In Kisumu, many families are unable to protect their homes.
